Skyrangers XVII: Valkyrie Urban Camo Painting

Work continues on the Valkyrie. Just a small post tonight on how I've started the camouflage.
The urban coloured splinter camo ties the Valkyrie in with my tank and half-track.

I first of all painted the splinters in Astronomicon Grey.

Next up will be a few coats of Skull White over the Grey.
Paiting white over grey is a bit of a pain in the derriere but c'est la vie!

  1. I love the camo scheme mate, is it freehand or do you use masking tape?

  3. @Col.Corbane: It's freehand as you can see if you look very closely! From a distance they look fine though. Thanks!

@Admiral Drax: Thanks also! I really like the urban camo. My infantry's camo is inspired by the Cadian 122nd but their vehicles were just drybrushed Codex Grey. I wanted mine to be that bit more urban themed so basically painted a larger-scale pattern based on the infantry.

  5. Looks great!

Thank you for sharing. I am considering painting my marines in a similar scheme; if I can get them to look HALF as cool, I will be set!
